Will I be isolated from the outside world during the treatment?
No. Patients are allowed to make and receive telephone calls throughout their stay. Patient rooms and lounges have TV. Daily newspapers are available. High speed Internet connection and fax machines are also available. Visitors are welcome daily during visiting hours.
I do not want anybody to know about the detox treatment. Will it be confidential?
Yes, your stay will be absolutely confidential. However, we will need to contact your GP to receive a medical history about yourself and your GP will treat this information confidentially as well.
What medication will I receive?
To relieve the withdrawal symptoms during detoxification you will be prescribed a medication producing a mild sedative effect. After your treatment programme the Psychiatrist might prescribe you medication which helps to prevent a relapse.
